
I’ve begun going through my sketchbooks, gathering together some of the characters I’ve drawn over the past 20 years or so. As you can see in the photo below, I first drew this group of characters in pencil on a scrap of printmaking paper then added black outlines using a Pigma Micron 08 archival ink pen. I began adding color using oil pastels in the figure in the top lefthand corner then switched to watercolors. Hahnemuhle Copperplate paper seems to hold watercolor pretty well. It’s fun to look through old and current sketchbooks. I have no idea where this will lead. Trusting my gut and enjoying the process!
