Knitting colourwork is my first love. Yes, I’ve knit cables and lacework yet have found I don’t really like doing this. Too fiddly. I just want to have fun making things and figured texture had never been and would never be my thing.
Until now.
Introducing a new all-time favorite TEXTURE knit: Brae Winds Blanket*, an incredibly beautiful and enjoyable project I knit beginning June 4th and finished September 9th as a wedding shower gift for my great niece Alaina and her fiancé Johnny.
I knit this in a custom lap blanket size with worsted weight 100% Norwegian wool. I’m beyond thrilled with how this project turned out! And now I find I’m drawn to patterns featuring texture!
