The 29th Annual Portsmouth Athenaeum Proprietors Art Show opened to the public this past Saturday, December 6, and I gallery sat for the first time yesterday afternoon. I love greeting, meeting and talking with the public, be they from near or far, and will continue to gallery sit weekly during the run of the exhibit.

I have four entries in this show, including three hand knit projects and one whimsical drawing. In the photo above, you can see my twin Emotional Support Chickie (2025) designed by Annette Corsino, Ostrobothnia Sweater (2024) designed by Outi Kater, and Ukraina Mittens (2025) designed by Maria Näslund.

Also on display (above) is Dreaming (2024) from my first whimsical drawing series. This colored pencil and Pigma Micron ink pen drawing continues the hand knit theme of my entries this year as it features a sleeping woman wearing a black and white colorwork sweater.
The Portsmouth Athenaeum Proprietors Art Show is open to the public Tuesday-Saturday, 1-4 p.m., in the Peter Randall Gallery, 9 Market Square, through Saturday, January 10, 2026. Closed Christmas week.
Best wishes to one and all for a healthy, happy and peaceful holiday season and new year!
